When we last checked in, Dick (Whichwatch) was testing the number of bars sustained by a Portuguese Chrono in bar-b-que sauce. We assembled a gathering representing Africa (Kenya), North America (Ohio) and Texas (Texas), but were missing our forum representitive from 'Down Under.' Because of a flight delay, our GTG with Ben (Bendy) did not come off as planned. As the IWC forum guy in Austin, Ms. D and I followed up for a night out with our Australian brother. Aussies know a thing or two about good "que"...so we opted for La Comida Mexicana!

After we settled in the booth for some good TexMex, out came the watches and a lively conversation about recent aquisitions ensued.
It was a pleasure to meet Ben and show him a little bit of Austin. He's heading next to NYC to hook up with Kevin and spend some time at the IWC Boutique. IWC GTG's with friends from this forum make this a special place.
Best regards, Jim

What a tradition we have here on the forum. These informal GTG across international boundaries and among fellow citizens is an amazing phenomena. It's what makes this the best place to share our passion.
Bendy, when are you in NYC? I often come into town and to meet-up at the Boutique and enjoy a drink or two with Kevin and the visiting guests.

Seems you and I were both posting at the same time Jim. Once again, that you and Mr's D again for a great time! Dick - Sorry I couldn't get in on time to catch up with you on Sunday night, hopefully next time I am over this way we can catch up.
Bill - I am in NYC Thursday night through to Sunday night and we are heading to the boutique Saturday around midday - would be great if you could make it (as well as anyone else). As you and others have said, this forum is a great medium not only for us to discuss our IWC habits but also getting people in touch with like minded people when in town - keep it up everyone, it is a thing that makes this forum and brand a great thing!
My next post should be from NYC - this week has been all work but NYC is more play so I will make sure there are a lot more photos.
Cheers,
Ben

Great thing, Jim! Congrats to you and Mrs. D for being great hosts and representatives of those great Continents Africa and Texas, and to Ben for coming all the way up to have some nice Tex Mex food!
Nice GTG, loved the title. Cheers everyone!

Jeronimo

Ben, I hope you enjoyed your dinner and your time in the States. So when is the GTG in Australia going to be?
