So, my beloved VC AT has gone in for regulation. It has been running a very consistent +12 seconds per day. I think the movement must be solid to be so consistent, but +12 is outside IWC tolerances and, as it is only 15 months old, should be capable of better. I put it off for ages, but eventually decided the time had come.
I've found a couple of threads in the archives which suggest almost spot on accuracy. Anyone have any experience of the 80111? Am I right to expect better accuracy? Jez
Yes, that movement is capable of much better. Mine is right around +1 per day, it's my most accurate watch. I'm sure they'll get yours within tolerances and then you'll love it even more. Good luck with the wait.

I echo David's comments. I believe both David's VC-AT and mine were produced in the same batch ( although I had to wait for the U.S. allocations to be delivered much later ) but the accuracy is identical.
The 80111 has proven to be a constant just like the ETA 2892/A2 in my Mark XVI, both robust movements with pinpoint accuracy.
With a little tweaking, yours will be just fine. God's speed in it's travels.

Update! My VC AT arrived back from RIS London after three and a half weeks, which seemed pretty good. Complete service and regulation under warranty, now running at < -1 seconds a day - I've tested it over the past couple of weeks.
We often read posts about poor service from major watch brands, but I must say I think IWC have done a great job. Very happy, and, of course, it hasn't left my wrist since!

Giovanni, who too has the VC AT found his to be running to fast as well, and has like you sent it off for a service.
Let us know the results, when you get it back.
Best regards
Mark
