This humble yet beautiful Cal.52 19lig H6 1/2 Pocket Watch sold originally in Vienna Austria in 1906, returned home yesterday after a service.

I had asked that the dial not be restored, and it is in it's original conditions.

IWC was showing of it's engraving skills on the case too...

Humble Cal.52 - but beautiful too

Does anybody know what the Mod. text on the movement refer too?

Great to see that some collectors care about servicing old pocketwatches, even with a "humbl" cal 52. Thanks for posting.

Nothing humble about that PW, beautiful dial, case and movement. Also a better quality movement, jeweled to the centre and with fine regulation.

My guess is that the Mod deposse text is something similar to Pat. pending.

It means "registered design" in French. It is actually Modèle déposé but no accents are added to capital letters in French.
