First of all, I would like to say hello to everybody, and say that I am new on this forum, and a very fresh owner of a IWC Schauffhausen watch, that I think is very old and valuable.
I would like your help to know as much as I can about this watch. I`ve inherited it few nights ago, so we can say I know nothing about it. Only thing that I know is that it was a gift from my great grandfather (and he owned it for some time) to his son, my grandfather, when he finished the goldsmith practice, and the date of that day is on a some sort of eagle pendant on a chain, the date is 1925. So i think the watch is older then that. It is a 14k gold. I am posting pictures of the watch and I would be most thankful if you, watch lovers who know much more about this then me, could tell me date of the watch, series, value and anythinh else. (I am sorry if there are some mistakes in language, because english is not my first language.)
I hope I haven`t posted too many pictures, my post is appropriate and that I will find help here.

Very nice family heirloom.
From the DateYourIWC utility:
The movement is a Sav. calibre 53, dating from the year 1911. The case was most probably produced resp. delivered around 1912.
Whilst a fairly common movement, the watch is in fair shape and after a service by a competent watchmaker, will continue to serve the family well for another 100 Years!

I am most grateful for the help and the nice comments. I am very fortunate to have gain a possession of such a valuable item. Even more it has such family importance.
I would like to know what does the eagle on the and of the chain represent. More about the history of this type of watch, and market value, though I wouldn`t dream of selling it, and hope I wont be in i situation to have to think about it, but I am just curious...
