Dear Bill,
congratulations on your 4500 posts and thanks for the great report that covers your relationship with IWC and the forum so far. Isn't it amazing how the purchase of a watch can change and enrich ones life? Hope to meet you in person one fine day. Have a great week and thanks again.

Congratulations for your milestone, not many weeks to go before 5000 clocks up against your name. You are one of those who have made this forum what it is and your photographic skills are brilliant, however you need to develop the still life aspect that includes the food and drink plus the ineveitable airport and bus shots like Nad (the cigar is optional though) and also the imaginative use of trinkets and baubles from the thift shop like Tracy. If I could only get my efforts to be half as good. (for those who don't know Bill and I have similar camera set up but he could teach me a thing or two!).
Feel also you and Kevin should be on a retainer at the NY boutique as the representative for the NY boutique Forum Welcoming Committee. Question though, do you know if Alan is planning to start similar service down in Florida?

Bill, one of the high points of my own IWC journey was the opportunity for Dorothy and me to spend time with Mary and you. I value your friendship, and always look forward to your posts on this great forum. I also appreciate your frequent communication regarding our "other" shared interest!!! It provides me light in a sometimes very dark place. Thanks for this wonderful post and I look forward to the next 4,500!
Best regards, Jim

I remember meeting up with you in Schaffhausen at the 2007 collectors meeting.
I see you are still taking care of the 3711 for me???? LOL LOL

I remember too our meeting in 2007. We walked along the bank of the Rhein together and you were so very proud and anxious about the authenticity of an Mark IX you picked up at a flea market.
As to the 3711, it's still a favorite of mine. I am also wearing your 5002 with frequency as well. I got the better end of this. I have both watches. LOL.

@Greg, If I was in Miami I'd be happy to start a welcoming service but the closest boutique is almost a four hour drive, maybe two hours if Giovanni was driving.

Wow that is perhaps Post of the Month. A really fantastic tribute to us all here as a community. Your spirit and enthusiasm is so authentic it continues to be a truly exciting phenomena for me to be included as your friend. It feels like I have known you much much longer than 5 or so years.
We have spemt so many special moments together - in small groups, family gatherings and large groups that I couldn't recall them all in full detail - but I always cherish them.
Your kindness, courtesy and generosity is legendary- as is your photography too.
I only have one regret so far. Although our ski vacations normally overlap in timing - and you are only 30-40 km away - "as the crow flies" - we have never managed to meet up on the slopes with our IWC's on our wrists.
We all benefit from your watch friendship.
5000+ won't be that far off!
