This already helps quite a bit - Could mean this watch has been put together by someone after 1963. I have not checked the movement number yet, but will have a professional take a look inside.

Back again - and hopefully this time I will not deleate my own original posting.... The question was : Who can help putting together the history of a Mark XI with the following details:
numbers on case 6B/346 1549/51 with a Broad Arrow on top of the numbers face shows Broad Arrow and "circled T" AND a hooked seven movement number C 89
I am most grateful for any kind of further information
The "C 89" number is the type of movement, a calibre 89, not the movement serial number.
The markings are consistant with a RAF Mark 11 watch that entered the service in 1951. The dial would have been replaced by the Ministry of Defence in the early 1960's. When you get the movement number you can look up it's manufacturing date using the following program.

Thank you Cellar,
Kind regards

Cheers from the cellar
PS You have solved one mystery for me. I was wondering what happened to the original post and my reply and your deletion is the explanation.
