Dear Friends,
I visited the Singapore Ion Orchard IWC Boutique today, and went home with something blue... the Portofino Chronograph Laureus Edition.
I wasn't expecting to see this piece in the store, and was really there to look at other models. After trying on a few watches not being able to make up my mind, I was on my way out of the store with my husband when we saw this piece...
The store manager, who served us very patiently and graciously, showed us this watch without hesitation. When we expressed that we were serious about purchasing the watch but we needed a few minutes to confer quietly, he left us alone in their very comfortable lounge area.
When we were done discussing, I asked the manager if he could give us an XL strap for the watch because the standard strap was too short for my husband. The manager, Mr Robin Lee, saw that we might want to share the watch. He told us he would give us a short strap too. When I want to wear the watch, he would be glad to help me change the strap. I can really get used to this superb service :)
Here's a few pictures of us in the store...
Me lounging on the couch, waiting for the new XL strap to be fixed on the watch...
Strap change completed, we are now an IWC couple :)

Pauline, congrats on a great blue ! the 'blue club' is very strong among these pages, and I am admittedly overdue to join this very eminent club :)
since u posted earlier today at the other social media site, it has been making me think about it again -- especially with the blue, the back engraving, and the chrono pushers that are so reminiscent to me of my running days !
thanks for sharing and very nice second post :)

@Fleekk: Thank you :)
@KS: Ah... this was supposed to be a secret reconnaissance exercise for another purchase. But we ended up buying something today. Plus... I forgot to take the "umbrella" with me when I left the store! LOL.... we must go back again :)

Pauline,
Excellent choice, I've had my Laureus Portofino for 8 months now and it gets a lot of wrist time. Always looks great with a suit or in your case your blue dress. Enjoy and wear it in good health.

Great pickup Pauline. So your husband is officially into our SEA club... Lol. There are many admirers of blue dial on this forum and your photos are a really treat for the eyes. Catch you and your hubby soon!
