Since Michael outed me in this thread (http://www.iwc.com/forum/en/discussion/59474/), I figure it's time for me to confess -- I did indeed treat myself to a new Big Ingenieur Chronograph limited AMG Edition. Of course, it's all the fault of this Forum.
I learned about the availability of the new AMG edition in a thread here. And since I drive an AMG (CLS63) and have the prior titanium editions, I decided I needed this new AMG Ingenieur. And so I started my quest.
Then I was pointed toward another thread here in which another member described seeing the watch at the new New York Boutique. That was just before Sandy hit.
I gave things some time to settle down and called the New York Boutique. The phone was answered by a very pleasant, efficient and helpful sales associate there, Liana Wang. And yes, they still had the watch available.
After some further discussions on the telephone, and a couple of emails back and forth, a new IW378407 in a package with my name on it was in the belly of a FedEx airplane on its way across the United States. That is until it was held up by weather in Indianapolis.
But only one day late, this arrived --
There's more coming, but let me first mention that dealing with the New York Boutique was a great pleasure. The staff there was friendly, helpful and efficient.

Frank,
Merry Christmas & Congratulations, glad to know where the second one went. It is a great looking watch and if I hadn't just gotten my DFB would have jumped on this.
Frank --I didn't mean to "smoke you out" but on hindsight I'm glad I did. Your photos here are just great! And my congratulations again on the watch --what a terrific piece.

Frank, that is a wicked cool Big Inge Chrono - and it belongs on the wrist of a serious AMG driver. As an owner of the brother watch (black with silver subdials) I know how well it sits and how substantial it is - which I love :-)
The red accents on this though with the carbon dial is just fantastic - enjoy the holidays, even if they did arrive early - LoL

I know, this artifically creating suspense is getting annoying.
And there will be some more photos coming up later today.
Great looking watch Frank_E.

That's must be quite close to an unique AMG collection you now possess. It wouldn't have be exciting to see an AMG Family photo.
Congratulations again.
