Hi
I bought one of the above, fully authenticated with box and papers from 2008. I bought mine as a Fliegeruhr Chronograph but I have seen similar watches descibed as 'Spitfire Chronographs'. Is this correct as I thought the Spitfire Chrono was an earlier model with the seconds dial partly obscuring the number 10 on the dial. Also I thought the case was smaller than the 42mm on the Fliegeruhr I have.

The 371704 model is the 371701 but with the steel bracelet instead of the leather strap. It is a non Spitfire model meaning it is the Classic Pilots line. Hope that helps. It should be 42 mm.

Thanks, this helps and my watch is indeed 42mm. My reason for asking was I was talking to a jeweller in London who had one in his window described as a Spitfire Chrono. He was very sure of this !

This is the Spitfire Chronograph, ref. IW371702 --
This is the Classic, ref. 371701 --
They are both 42mm and essentially the same watch, except for the dial and the strap. Your 371704 is the same as the 371701, but with a bracelet instead of the leather strap.

These are a couple of my favorites.
