I am interested to know whether there are any other Boere on this forum? Since IWC is not really a name that I have ever heard being advertised in SA... I'm a SA-auzzie :) and an avid forum reader, so there should be more??

Hi Rave, that is interesting. I have been unaware of IWC's presence during my life in Cape Town.(and all other parts of the country) I have actually only seen the brand advertised alongside Mr.P's etc.in golf/lifestyle mags. Still interested to see if any surface Cheerz
By the way, there are several but I don't know any will see this in the relatively short time this string is up.
If you search for South Africa and filter only for forum, you'll see a few from people who identify themselves as living in South Africa ("according to my dealer in South Africa...", etc.).

South Africa is a great place for IWC - I bought 2 of my 5001's in Joburg from an AD and found the service to be exemplary, while the exchange rate for the rand and tax refund scheme made it attractive for a visitor from Europe. The dealer himself wore a Portuguese Regulateur in SS, which I thought was a classic non-flashy piece for someone in the trade. Back that way in Durban for Christmas and will attempt a wrist shot. Can't wait!

MATTM, the exchange rate at the moment is booming... Another tempting trip then? Unfortunately (or fortunately for various reasons) I will be spending my time far away from Jburg and around Jbay for Christmas.. Doubt that I will run into that MarkXII that I'm waiting for. Have a safe but merry Christmas
Edit - I look forward to seeing some SA wrist shots, I hope the creative-bug finds me there as well
