First, very nice collection you've put together. You obviously love the Portuguese line. As I'm currently having a torrid love affair with my 5001, I'd suggest getting a white gold 5001-06 which means that you could sell both black dial automatics you have, or one of those and a 3714.
In any case, if in a similar situation I think I would first choose the new watch and let that dictate what had to be sold. Best of luck with your decision.

Wow - some great suggestions. A few of which I was already considering and now a few more I am considering.. It may take me a week or two, but I will definitely reveal the outcome as soon as I can. Really interesting to hear opinion on what should go for trade as well. Aside from the money, I believe that now and then releasing a few nice pieces back into the preowned market is the right thing to do.

That's is indeed quite a tough question. I like Shings proposal as well as perhaps a white gold, rose gold to platinum Vi tags collection Ingenieur to add diversity to your collection and join the vi Tate collection Da Vinci.

That would mean 4 items need to go.
If I count well, even five, because two Portuguese Automatics would go, along with the two Portuguese Chrono's and the Portuguese Handwound. The Da Vinci and one Portuguese Automatic would stay. Let's assume these watches would yield EUR 25.000 to 30.000, then, with some extra cash, a beautiful Portuguese Perpetual Calendar would be possible.
Kind regards, Paul
What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)

Hi all, after receiving such good advice (almost scientific in some cases), I thought it was only fair I post the outcome. No wrist shot yet, having seen others do the same I thought I would give a profile shot of my new beauty and and encourage a few guesses as to what I settled on. I will of course show the full picture and the updated collection (minus my traded pieces) shortly.
Thanks again to those who put their suggestions in.

It looks like a Portuguese to me. The width of the brushed part of the watch and the overall thickness make me guess it's a Portuguese Automatic in White gold...
