Gosh darn it Michael, I guess that's one of the benefits of being in your position and having the right contacts.
Buckle, strap, contrast stitching, BP rivets......Dynamite !!
Please let the promo department know it's time to bring them back, updated of course with the MiraMar fabric and Ti or sandblasted SS (Swiss patrol) look buckle.

Well, after dragging this out as long as posible, I thought i would show the full pictures.
NO, it isn't a belt, a belt buckle, or a hastily hand drawn watch! And unfortunately, no, it isn't a Mirimar.
Here is the other end to get things going:
And the complete thing:
And of course, the obligatory wrist shot:
This is now the third incarnation that my 3799 has been through, with this being the most recent:
And previously the original strap on deployant:
Which of course was preceded by the original strap on tang and buckle.
I am torn between a few new watches at the moment and not sure which way I am going to go (the trip to the NY boutique the other week has not helped me any here!) so whilst I figure out what I am going to get next, I thought why not make a quick simple change to a watch I already have - as the saying goes, a change is as good as a holiday and the change of a strap creates a totally new feel with the watch without having to shell out the dineros for a new one.
I am not completely sold yet on the new Mirimar's but did love the strap from day one so decided to get one in for the 3799. I have to say, it has transformed the watch! The strap is big and bulky, has a real purposeful feel to it and I love the way that it doesn't slim down towards the end. It feels great on the wrist and whilst the 3799 doesn't have the cammo accents of the Mirimar the strap still works well with the 3799 dial and overall scheme. The only thing that would make this combo better would be a deployant option (I know, current clasp wont fit etc) but the extra wide holes on the strap and large tang definitely have a masculine feel to them.
Cheers,
Ben

Ben, while I like the green/tan strap I really like the brown one. Good Luck with you decision on new arrivals, let us know it we can help with pictures or comments.

Hi Kevin,
Luckily I havent got rid of the Brown Calf strap or the clasp - they are both sitting at home and I can now change between the 2 with ease - the best of both worlds (maybe I need to see if I can track down a 3786 so I can have both straps on and just choose between watches :) )
Cheers,
Ben

Hummmm, I wonder if we wear the same size?
Story of my life...7 years to late !
Thanks Michael for sharing,
Andy

Actually, of the 3 straps it's the one that works the best (for me!)
Enjoy and great tease reveal:~)
Best regards
Mark
