After an event-filled year, a short getaway to HK is just what I needed. It was meant to be a watch-weekend and a gtg with my friends in HK. No surprises, I caught up with some of the well-known forum members and had a blast.
I arrived on a Friday morning and had lunch with a high school classmate before heading to the star ferry terminal and met up Shing. First stop was Christie's preview at the HK convention and exhibition centre in Wan Chai. Some of the pieces we saw at the preview were rare.
My personal favorite was the portuguese chrono rattrapante in rg (discoutinued). The romana perpetual was also a splendid piece.
We swung by Prince's building to visit the IWC boutique there. The AMG ingenieur (LE 145 pieces) was on display.
Portuguese perpetual calendar in Platinum (Limited to 250 pieces) ref 5023. What a timepiece. It's a serious heavyweight.
Next stop was to head to Kennedy Town. Felix, SC Fong, Ricky, Shing and I met up in a Japanese restaurant. Personally I am not a foodie, but this is one of the best Japanese meals I have had in a long time. It's unbelievable. Thanks to Felix. SC brought along his top gun ceramic perpetual for me to try on. I mentioned that on a fb post sometime ago and he remembered it!
Some photos for you guys.
Thanks to my watch buddies in HK.
Shing, nothing more can be said. What a buddy you have been spending so much time with me over the weekend till your brain got watch-fried. Much appreciated.
Felix, SC and Ricky - See you guys again very very soon. I am sure the event will be a blast. I am looking forward to it. Watch collecting cannot be any better especially with friends like you guys. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

Now that's a terrific GTG! Thanks for the excellent watch shots and the spectacular array of IWC's in the table shot! The companionship is the best part of this forum. I am more than a little envious of the watch events and retail venues to which you guys have ready access...thanks again for taking us along, KS and Shing!
Best regards, Jim

I was wondering about the awesome vintage pieces Shing posted on FB.
I hope the carpet at Butterfly on Prat was nice.
Cheers
Pauline
Pauline, the carpet was ok. Nothing like what you are going to experience but it was all good for me. See you this Friday for the Siderale event.
