Thanks for the link. It was not clear to me that date disc was changed. And I probably was not paying attention...

Looks great!Is this something that IWC agrees to do for all enquiries?
Omar Khayyám (Persia XI-XII Century) offered that Time should not only be measured in length but also in width due to the intrinsic difference between a minute or other depending on what is happening to the beholder... I wonder how a watch would look like...

Dunno - it was way beyond warranty time. But I think that IWC wouldn't disagree as all the following generations of Fliegerchronographs with black dial have maching day-date discs.

No problem to buy black disks.
Any local watchmaker can change it for a low price :-)
