As this seems to be the 777th thread under "vintage timepieces" I should reply. As we had a lot of "information seeking" questions to upgrade auction description here, there will probably not be too much valuable information on the watch. In addition, we need to see the movement to tell something about the watch. It is possible, you wont get more than you allready have a serial nuber and an approximate date of around 1885.
As this is not a commercial forum, you can sell me the watch for $1 and I tell you what it is (was) ;-)
regards
Ralph
P.S: Anyway this is (could be) an early interesting IWC watch
There is no time in the now it's time for a watch.

There are two places to start you search.
First, Google Date Your IWC and download the program that can give you more info if you supply the case and movement numbers.
Second, visit our Moderators PW website and find one similar, if not identical to yours:
http://www.iwcpocketwatch.com/
Good luck. More pictures of the movement will also help the other experts here. Ralph E, who has responded, is one of the real PW experts concerning IWC, btw.
