Michael Friedberg Wrote:One of the nicer aspects on this new model, in my opinion, is that it is thin. This makes it more elegant (or arguably versatile), especially comfortable and avoids a top-heavy appearance (which is easy to occur at 40mm).
The specifications show that it is only 10mm high. Someone called this the "Pure Classic of the Ingenieur line".
Thanks for the great photos Michael, it is great to see IWC releasing some more reasonably sized watches!
You mention that they are very thin - is this at the expense of the Faraday cage / soft iron inner casing? Whilst very few of us really need to anti magnetic properties there are a lot of purists here that feel a Ingenieur without the AM properties is not an Ingenieur . . . .

If you could post a profile shot so we could see just how thin these are, that would be wonderful, Michael. To be just 10mm thick and still be able to withstand magnetic fields up to 40,000A/m is nothing short of amazing. Also, I love that there's an OEM rubber strap being offered.
Overall, I must say that I'm extremely impressed with what I'm seeing thus far.

PS - Do these bracelets feature the micro adjusting clasp found on the Ingenieur Racer Chronograph?

IWC has done better than that with the Skinny Ingenieur: 8,8 mm

Basicly with the same movement.
