IWC has done better than that with the Skinny Ingenieur: 8,8 mm http://www.moeb.ch/Ingenieur/05e_Skinny.html Basicly with the same movement.
Hi Bas, don't forget the 3508 Ingenieur 500.000A/m as Christian Niemann called her in a former forum article 'A sleeping Cinderella'. A glorious failure in a commercial sense but outstanding in innovation and technical sophistication. Kind regards

Michael,
Thanks for giving us a sample of what's to come. You bring good news of not only a 40mm diameter, but like you, the 10mm height is one of the top highlights.
The "chunk" and size of the current line has kept me from adding this Inge design ( have a VC-ING ) to the collection. Can't wait to try one on.

Right afterwards I put my CFI on. The CFI feels more substantial but it's much heavier and actually less comfortable until I got used to it. This new model is very easy to wear but it doesn't have the presence of a larger watch. It's more like a classic vintage piece.

Still I'm very interested in the new 40 mm, very likely a great size for me.
