Hi Bill,
It's apparent how much you enjoy your AT2000 White Dial and how proudly you wear it on many of your travels. Given your appreciation and comment on the white dial AT in this thread, my guess is that you now want to join the VC-AT club and might have secured one soon to arrive in the states.
If my guess is correct, no doubt how much you are going to enjoy it. Can't wait for reveal.

Great Bill. Looking forward to your reveal. Will we need to wait until Christmas, or will we know before?

The Gerald Genta design concept is quite great. It is the way the concept is implemented that makes the difference. The IWC way of implementing is quite clean, both the new 40 mm watch and the ceramic (is this still been inspired enough by the Gerald Genta concept?) look very nice to me. The Hublot in contrast is busy and a bit messy, with a lot of frills. But in a way you are right: the Ingenieur family is not my favourite, that is the Portuguese, like the handwound. But as always, there are exceptions, and one of the Ingenieurs I mentioned could very well be mine one day.
Kind regards, Paul

In a way I agree with you both. I am a fan of Gerald Genta's design. That's why I adore the Ingenieur series (and that means I think I will probably be in trouble next year). I do prefer IWC's "cleaner" design to a few other brands' though. Anyway, let's not go into that.
I'm still curious as to why Regulateur let go of his YC Chrono for the Hublot though (just curious to know the rationale behind that decision).
I haven't posted any acquisition to this thread yet, as December isn't over yet... perhaps I still have a chance to acquire one more before the end of this year, in addition to this:
fingers-crossed!

Thanks for the nice comment about the 5001.
What is different for me than the "old days" is that I am mostly retired, though I still do a little consulting. Thus, disposable income is quite a bit different than when I was working full time.
And that's inside:
A 5032-03
A 5442-03
Love it to watch that movement.
A 5444-03
But the year is not over yet, and before it ends that box will miss one place to hold my acquisitions of this year.
Giovanni,
Excellent additions, especially the Blue PPC. Looking forward to see what you add in 2013.
