Completely agree with you, Roberto. :-) On my wrist since it/she (?) has arrived and I have fitted the bracelet on November, 23rd. Endorphine pure, can now understand your enthusiasm at the CM in Geneva this year! :-) FYU, an allegoric 'shipwrecked' Rolex ;-)

Personally I find the new 40mm and the ref 3227 to be two very different watches with very different aesthetics. The ref 3227 is iconic, and I don't anything else will cause it to detract from that.
Whatever the case, hope someone will bring a ref 3227 to SIHH for a on-the-spot comparison. Really excited the Year of the Ingenieur.

Hi,
Not sure it is an upgrade.
Though nice, the 40mm is missing one critical piece befitting an all-conquering watch such as the Ingenieur: the inhouse mov't with integrated shock-absorption.
Just my humble opinion of course.
And judging from the responses on this forum, the new 40mm will be a hit.

LOL! Excellent picture Hajo. I have some wrecked Rolex too. Maybe I'd need an Aquatimer to go rescue them! LOL!
Btw, terrific Inge you have!

Roberto
