Portugal
Hello, newbie around here. My name is Bruno I live in the northern part of Portugal and, not for long, have 34 years. I work in the Veterinary sector, but my interests differ from my current work; as you can tell I like hiking and running, love everything mechanical (watches, cars, motorbikes, planes...) and every subject related with WW2 (that is probably why I chose the 3717-01 for my first IWC)

Hi! I'm Roman and thanks to Roberto who already posted my photo as well. At the photo from Collector's meeting 2012 I'm 3rd from the left, between Ralph and Kevin. I live in Moscow, travel a lot, usually for business and like watches, especially IWC. I moderate Russian local IWC forum, started this year to write articles about watches to different media (more significant was probably the article for Russian edition of Revolution magazine). I was really shocked last year when I got the invitation for Collector's meeting. To meet Alan, Kevin, Andrew, Shing, KS, Arne, Nelson, Michael, Arg, Mark, to talk with Oliver, David, Mr. Klaus, Mr. Pantli and others from IWC stuff was increadible. I'm really proud to know these people and thanks to IWC for a possibility to meet them. I would happy to see you all in Moscow, of course understanding the problems with visas etc., but probably next year. It should be one very interesting IWC event more close to the end of 2013;) 2 photos additionally. One from Siderale presentartion of Mr. Pantli:
and another one made at the birthday of Alexey Nemov, great sportsman and perfect ambassador of IWC:
Thank you and good luck!!

Dear all What a great idea! My name is Dave and I live near Schaffhausen. I have been active mostly in the German IWC Forum since 2005 and bought since then 9 IWC watches, of which I still own 6. Some might remember me from Collectors Meetings 2007, 2009 or at any of the SIHH.
my alias comes from one of the nicest watches I have ever seen:
Last year, I founded a non-profit organization which succeeds to get people interested in watches together on a regular basis. We organize factory visits, meetings at fairs or at the SIHH. This is always great fun.
I like to stay in touch with people interested in nice watches - for example via regulateur@me.com or this forum.
P.S: If I would win something in this drawing, I am happy pass it on - I already have too many things.

Hello,
I'm Jean-Luc from Luxembourg. I'm in watches since 2001 and own (only...) 4 out of which are 2 IWC. I'm an electrical engineer from ETH Zurich and regularly visit Switzerland for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. Next February we will be again in Zermatt. What I mostly like in mechanical watches is to follow new technologies and technical solutions in movements. But of course, design of the watches is important too. Some years ago I did still have enough time to follow the Timezone watch course by myself and was able to assemble several watches...what a fun. I guess that I could have been a quite decent watchmaker...
Here is a picture with my 2012 acquisition of the beautiful and stylish portofino 8 days handwound with a good-looking movement.

Hi,
My name is Ralph. I am an IWC-holic.
I attend meetings with other IWC-holics.
As far as I am aware, there is no cure.
The chronic IWC-holics take pictures of their wrists. Some static, some while they are driving and some in interesting places.
For many, Christmas / mid-winter holiday is a joyous occasion. For IWC-holics, it is a warning that SIHH is only one month away. To all my Forum friends, happy only one month to go until SIHH day.

Hi, a short introduction, my name is Jesper, I live in Denmark. Fairly new to the IWC forum, but have been in to watches for a long time. I've had my share of different watches, but the BP has always been lurking in the background. Finally I got the opportunity to get my hands on a grail of mine, the 5002, with the old movement, and the fish-crown.
And of course, as someone mentioned earlier, you have to shot all kinds of wrist-, back-, movingshots with the watch.
Well, that covers my, so far only IWC, but it's the only watch that gets any wristtime. Moving on to other important things in my life, I have a lovely wife, who is expecting our first child, set to arrive any day now.
(Me on the right)
Until now, our family has consisted of 2 border collies
They have accompanied me on many trips to the danish coastline, where I indulge in one of my other hobbies, flyfishing.
Many times, I'm also accompanied by my father, who has a tendency to catch slightly larger fish
I'm not posting that much, but eagerly follows all of the different subjects coming up, and learning a lot about the IWC-brand.

Hi All, Let me introduce myself to you. I'm Bas Dekkers this is my story: After completing the Higher General Secondary Education (HAVO-B) and the VWO in 1984 I started as a profession officer at the royal dutch military academy (KMA study: Military business administration). In strong degree it has been influenced by the decreasing perspectives within the Dutch armed forces. The abolition of conscription and as an result the coherent staff reduction in the professional army did me eventually decide to leave the organisation in September 1997 after a dismissal measure (in rank of captain at the dutch special forces green barets KCT). The study leave I received as a consequence of the resignation regulation, I have exploited for an university study labour/staff and organisation. Afterwards I accepted a function as management consultant at an consultancy organisation. Then as an interim manager I have realised a serious reorganisation during a year in the metal line. Not much later I started working at SYSQA LTD. (SYSQA provides as an independent company Quality Assurance in ICT. Starting out as a professional I am now operative as salesmanager. I keep in contact with client organisations and offer them suitable solutions based on SYSQA's QA services. These include project definition, project quality assurance, Tmap / ISEB testing capability, process improvement and auditing. Furthermore I am responsible for managing the professionals at our clients. After (for a brief period) expanding my horizons as Director at Brinkman Agro BV I returned as senior manager in the former mentioned company. Nowadays SYSQA has establishes preferred supplierships with several large Dutch and European governmental and commercial organisations. IWC came into my life in 1997 when I purchased my MarkXII for my second graduation. Since then my collection has been growing. I now own 8(!) 3 pilots (the Mark XII, a flieger pilot 3706 and an 3251 UTC/TZC watch). Then the ATs came along. The first was an IW3536 steel then an AT vintage, the IW371928, the AT2000 (white dial)the AT IW376711 and last but not least the IW376704. Interests: Stichting racen tegen kanker SRTK/RAC, Scuba diving, skiing, mountain biking, circuit-motorcycling (GSXR 600 K6), IWC-watches, windsurfing, running, reading, golf and my family. some Pics: " alt="image" /> " alt="image" />

Hello Everybody,
Marinus from the Netherlands. While my education was in electronics, I started working in supply chain and never looked back. I have been working in computer hardware for 23 years and last year moved to carpet tile manufacturing. When I am not working I like to go hillwalking (cannot really do that in the Netherlands) or just hiking. I also like to travel and am interested in technology and everything to do with space. I can appreciate al lot of different music styles; classical, rock, alternative and dance.
I joined the IWC family in 2008, I wanted to buy something for myself and someone mentioned a watch. At that time I had never heard about IWC but we have an AD in town, so I basically discovered the brand window-shopping, resulting in my first: the UTC. At that time I also discovered this forum. I do not post a lot but I logon almost every day and really enjoy the stories and pictures that are posted here. There is a downside to that though: you want to get more… So I did. A number of years ago another brand had an advertising campaign with the tagline "is it you". I cannot really put my finger on why but IWC is me. The Pure Classic that I got earlier this month obviously gets most wrist time right now.

For those who haven't participated, this is a reminder that the drawing ends in 2 1/2 days --by Thursday at midnight in Schaffhausen.
Good luck.
