My name is Jens-Kristian Soegaard and I live in Denmark. Besides my watch collection I enjoy sailing, skiing and golf. Fortunately I also have a house in Andalusia, Spain where the climate is a bit better for golf during the winter. I retired from my job last year so I can stay where I want to. The Spanish home is in a small mountain village only two hours from excellent skiing facilities in Sierra Nevada. I can literally play golf in the morning and ski in the afternoon - if I hurry.

Hi, my name is Francis Lee, living in the sunny island, SINGAPORE & I have been collecting watches since I started working but never have I bought 2 watches in less than 3 months. This coming 1.1.2013 will mark my 20th anniversary years in the financial planning industry. What a better way to celebrate it in advance by rewarding my lovely supportive wife & of course, myself, with these 2 beautiful time pieces.
I love to travel and these are some of the places I visited recently, together with my kids.
My favorite sport,
I know there is no cure to this IWC addiction, but, I am strong & I can live with it .
I hope I can be invited to one of the future SIHH, hearing so much about it and not forgetting meeting some of the collectors.

Hello everyone,
I'm Oliver and currently reside in sunny Abu Dhabi.
As a hotelier, my work has already taken me from Frankfurt, Germany to London, England over to Amman, Jordan, followed by Great Exuma, Bahamas to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Then I continued during the Egyptian revolution in Cairo and my last move so far was over to Abu Dhabi in the UAE - a little over one year ago. I am currently managing a rather amazing property on the Grand Prix race track over here - I guess I shouldn't advertise any further:-)
I currently own three nice watches, two of them being IWC - one Aquatimer 2000 and the amazingly blue Spitfire Chronograph Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. The third watch in my collection is a Glashuette Navigator...
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling (obviously!) and photography. With my interest in photography, I also set up my homepage over here: http://travelandphotosource.com - unfortunately, I have far too little time to keep it up to date, but I am trying!
During my 6-year stint in Jordan, I also met my lovely wife, Luma and we are expecting our first baby in just about 5 weeks! I am planning to also have another IWC baby along with the real one and I shall keep you all posted on that development!
The beef farm I run is in south eastern Australia and the calves are sold at about 10 months of age. They are Balancers which are Gelbieh/Red Angus cross and are not only good performers but are very quiet.
My daily wrist watch is rarely an IWC but usually a dive watch with an external rotating bezel to measure elapsed time (especially when checking calving cows). The dust and the knocks to the watch means they last about two years whether mechanical or quartz. When off the farm the wrist watch is usually an IWC Yacht Club.
I enjoy more than a few good red wines and for whites you cannot go past good riesling.
Cheers from the cellar
PS Eccles (at about 950 kg) says Merry Christmas, I thought it better to let him wear the hat rather than an IWC!!!

Hello everyone,
My name is Anders Johansson, I’m 48 years young and I live together with wife and two teenager kids in the beautiful archipelago west of Gothenburg, Sweden. This is a wonderful place to live. In the summer time I prefer to enjoy the sea by boat. Professionally I’m the managing director of a small R&D company developing nanotechnology for future use in semiconductor chips and packages. I travel quite a lot both privately and for work. I remember that I have always been interested in wristwatches, when I was about to start school in 1971 I saw an ad from Timex showing a cool one. I told my father that I wanted a Timex, he talked to the local watchmaker that stated that Timex was crap and that watches should be made in Switzerland… Later - early 80’s - an IWC was presented to my father after 25 years of employment. This was the first time I heard about the Schaffhausen brand.
I have lately started to build a small collection of vintage watches from the 60’s and 70’s. Last winter I acquired my second IWC, a watch that is today definitely topping my collection, a blue sunray dialed 866. I just love it. Of course there are several other watches on my wish list; one of my most wanted is the original Aquatimer ref 812. I very much appreciate the IWC Collector’s Forum. It’s very well moderated and there is so much of knowledge shared and helpfulnessn provided. I think this platform is really differentiating IWC from other brands - a great way of developing the brand and to create pride and value for us whether defined as customer or collectors.

Trying to reveal some personal information, keeping certain level of privacy and still trying to be creative looks like really a tough task. No wonder Michael wants to award it with a special prize :o)
Nevertheless, I will try to bring some more information about me. You have probably read my first short story about how I came to IWC.
From there we can pick up the line and continue. Being born in the “times before” actually means in the year of 1974, so I‘ve got still some time to roll over 40 :o) But now very much as my time runs faster every day. I think this perception of time is the same for all of us, especially once you become a parent. This fact stepped into my life 5,5 years ago accompanied with my daughter named Kristina. Life flowing normally until that day has suddenly started to run. Surprisingly, what has seriously slowed him down was my new watch. IWC Portofino watch. I just can’t explain it but it’s like that. From watching the hacking seconds of a quartz watch before suddenly to see the flying hand of the mechanical watch one just has to do the opposite I think. My traveling speeds came down (together with the petrol consumption, thank IWC for helping the environment ! ;o) and the tuned frequency in my car has moved to another radio station. I am just trying to more enjoy less things, than not to have time for many.
And one of them are mechanical watches. Often I am still lost in the numbers of IWC references and the complete history and lines are not among my strongest sides although I am reading the IWC Big Book but I just do not hurry. I have started with taking care for the watches in my closest family. Physical stocktaking took place, pieces were collected, put in the evidence, historical backgrounds were written down and then all the pieces sent for the treatment to the specialist. Sadly, however not unsurprisingly, no IWC has been found. (Nevertheless, when they come back I might take some pictures for you if you are curious enough to see vintage watches not only from behind the "iron curtain" but also from some nowadays non-existing Swiss producers.) Staying in this field of interest I have to admit I have bought one more watch, the vintage Omega, purely for the look of it and the fact, that it came to the world in the same year as I did :o) Raising the funds for another IWC is harder, as it must be almost double the prize for wife’s compensation ;o)
From the other boring personal pieces of information I can just shortly state that I have studied economics (management and financial analysis) and I am also working in this field. Taking care of companies financial management, cost controlling, budgeting and also helping with implementations and optimization of that big ERP system from Germany. Currently I am working for a privately held German company producing window and door hardware systems, automatic entrance systems and building management systems (for its Production and Distribution Center in Slovakia) and living in the western part of the country. Among my preferred activities I could count hiking in the nature, being it woods or mountains, that doesn't matter and cycling. I have also used to ski a lot, swim and play volleyball before. Nonphysical activities include photography and rally (since the time my brother-in-law stopped racing himself I am only the spectator, not helping the team anymore). And I also like to study old history of my country and new technologies of the world. And, my name is Marian ;o)
Finally, not to fall asleep, here is one colorful (by no means narcissistic :o) picture for you where, if you are lucky enough, you could spot around my Portofino also me, my wife Michaela and my daughter Kristina. However, our common acquisition from this year you can’t see, as she came only 2 month after this picture was taken. A small white Chihuahua named Omnia that was :o)
Oh, and not to forget: Hi, folks! Have yourself a merry little Christmas, even better than those being wished in the song I have borrowed this sentence from. And happy and successful new year!

Hello IWC fans,
My name is Clemens and I am an IWC addict. This all started in 2006 and in March 2007 I was happy to strap on my first IWC, the St Exupéry Chrono.

Since then, a few other IWC's have been added to the collection, including my grail watch, the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar Pisa edition.

The IWC forum is an important part in my life and I enjoy reading and posting here and meeting Forum members in real life. I have visited Schaffhausen three times already, the first time was with my AD John Ibink and a few other clients, the other two meetings were the Collectors Forum Meetings in 2007 and 2009.
Professionally I am co-founder, CFO and manager of the Hosting Services department from Triple IT. We provide all kinds of ICT services including live streaming with a product we developped completely in-house. This product, called WMT, is used all over the world and one of the best known events it was used in was the Olympic Flame Relay in the UK. Our solution was used for the live streaming event of about 70 days where the Olympic Flame was carried through the entire UK. Other than this live streaming, we also provide services for one of the large telephone operators here in the Netherlands where we provide live streams to mobile handsets among other things. We also develop iPhone- iPad and Androyd apps.
Privately, I have two sons (6 and almost 10 years old) and enjoy biking and swimming with them.
Unfortunately, they are not too interested in sailing (yet) but hopefully this will change some day. My S.O. is French so we spend most of our holidays in France and our kids have the advantage of learning both languages.

Hi everyone,
My name is Wiemer, I am 27 years old and live and work in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. During my applied physics study I used to brew beer with a club and I still regularly like to confront myself with the amazing product that is a well brewed beer. I now work as a strategy consultant in Rotterdam. One of my bosses own several IWC's which got me interested in fine watches in general and IWC in particular. I have been saving for quite a while now for my first IWC and I am currently in doubt between these two beauties:
Since my girlfriend lives in Basel, Switzerland I travel a lot to see her during the weekends. It is also a nice excuse to visit Schaffhausen (I am on the right :P )
In my free time I try to do some watchmaking from time:
Very happy holidays to all who read this and an amazing 2013!
