Hi i am new in this forum. I've just got my IWC Top Gun Double Chronograph model #iw379901 with all the boxes, warranty and papers. However the watch does not change the date (numbers) it only changes the days of the week. It was not bought from an authorized dealer. I've called the dealer and they sent me back the warranty card stamped with the model #,purchase date and the stamp of an authorized dealer. My question is: Will I have any problems to exercise the repair under the warranty? Please advice. thank you,

Hi DA, sorry to hear about your ref 3799 problems.
IWC will honour an original and geniune warranty card that reflects the corresponding details of the timepiece you are presenting it with.
The newer warranty cards (especially those from the boutiques) have a barcode that has the timepiece identification information encoded inside already, beyond the printed (sometimes written) serial and casing numbers on the card.

Thank you everybody for your prompt responses. I will be heading tomorrow to the IWC boutique located in Bal Harbour, Florida and drop the watch for the repairs along with the warranty card. I will post a new comment after my return from the boutique.

As I've mentioned on my previous comment, this morning I went to the IWC Boutique in Bal Harbour, Fl and they honored the warranty card. Therefore I need to wait between 6 and 8 weeks to get my watch back. Kudos to Mike, Mark and Shing in these forum who kindly responded me about my problem.

Finally my watch is back and the service was outstanding. The waiting time was less than 5 weeks. I am so happy to have my watch back and enjoy this unique piece.
Please advice.
thank you,
DA
