Rumor has it that there was a gathering recently in Schaffhausen. One person brought the classic 2005 Ingenieur, Ref. 3227, with its special ardoise dial as made for the limited edition Collectors' Forum Ingenieur.
Another person snuck out of the manufacture with the 2013 40mm Ingenieur, Ref. 3239. Of course, the temptation to take photos, comparing the two watches, was too much resist.
These exclusive photos were shot “in the wild”. As such, please excuse the quality, but I thought you'd want to compare the two models.

Very nice comparison, thank you! I like that new Inge, very sleek, yet quite a forceful watch. Of course nothing beats seeing it as you did, from what I saw on pictures I opt for the black dial version, also easier to photograph.
I read here there is no micro adjustment feature, probably a "half link" to adjust at home, or at the hotel when on holiday.
Kind regards, Paul

Wow, there appears to be a considerable difference in thickness - unless perspective is playing tricks. The crown guards are a nice addition to the new reference. Thanks for sharing, Michael. And thanks also to the anonymous photographer. :)

Just what I needed. Now SIHH seems so far away and product availability forever.
I want one ! Where do I sign?
Patiently waiting for now,
Andy
