Congratulations! I am sure that the next step will lead to to the "original" pilots watch... Even if you don't think so today - it will happen, believe me!

The 3717 is quite a great watch, to be used in about all circumstances. I found out last week that a day indicator comes in handy when there is no work around: every day becomes the same and it is nice to see that it indeed is Wednesday (hmm, today is Friday...). Enjoy your beauty!
Kind regards, Paul

LOL, it depends on the car. My 1998 Cinquecento Sporting isn't that expensive. One thing is for sure though, your watches consume no fuel and at the current fuel rates, that's already a lot to gain!

My dainty wrist is already dwarfed by this one so if that is the big pilot then I don't think I will be going there. This is the first time the missus has said she doesn't like one of my watches - mostly on size grounds - (even though my Blackbird Blacksteel is 2mm bigger but black so looks smaller) and as she indulges me with my new hobby the goodwill can only go so far.

good choice, the 3717 gets my vote too, speaking of the IWC virus, it is only the 7th of January and I have already racked up 3 new IWC purchases. Seriously someone has to find a cure.
