I never thought that I would post here, but this is a fairly recent piece, so not a "vintage" yet. Picked up recently whilst on a buying spree and fits in nicely with my military collection (although not military at all) ;-) This was the information I was supplied with; International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, "Der Fliegerchronograph", Case No. 2472951, Ref. 3740, Cal. 631, 36 mm, circa 1990
An aviator's watch with chronograph, 30 min. and 12h counter and date Case: steel, matted, screwed on back with engraving, screwed crown, movement protection cap, original buckle. Dial: black, Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, 30 min. and 12h counter, date indication, luminous baton hands. Movm.: precision quartz movement with step switching drive and mechanical chronograph module, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 25 jewels, mirror-polished chronograph steel parts.

Hello Jimmy, this is a watch with great price/quality on the second hand market and with a special movement. A drawing of it can be found in an earlier post on this forum. http://www.iwc.com/forum/en/discussion/31455/

Hi Tonny B,
I was given my IWC der fliegerchronograph 3740 for my 10th wedding anniversary in 2001. I am no interested in purchasing a S/S IWC bracelet for it but do know which will fit? Could you help with this please?
