Have you heard the term..."Skelleted Horns" ?
I know 'Horns' is another name for luggs, however not sure what 'Skelleted' means. The term is currently used in an advertisement for one of Richemont sister brands. The term is shown as a line item in the list of specifications.

I guess it means lugs are empty, nothing to do with the (formerly, only manual) technique adopted in watchmaking to reduce the weight of a part of the watch, often (and preferably) with some artistic result.

I think it means you can see through them from the side, a bit like holes in ears for earrings (not much to see through there, though, most of the time).
Kind regards, Paul

Here's an image of some 'Skelleted Horns' from another Richemont brand. Sounds like a bad translation from French(squlette) or German(skelett),both meaning skeleton. VanCleef,JLC and Richard Mille are some other brands with this style of lug.Sometimes filling the gaps with another metal or carbon fibre. Leo

Ask and ye shall receive...Thank you Leo for the "show and tell" . I'm a bit more watch savvy now.
