I'm with you Bill. I own both CF watches and a no nonsense CF pilot watch, celebrating the true IWC military pilot watches of yesteryear, would be very welcomed. I am not holding my breath though.

There was a lot of excitement after SIHH last year concerning the possibility of a CF3. Back then I really thought it would be a done deal by now. However, I am not optimistic at this point. Unless there is some secret CF3 project ready to jump out in time for SIHH, I think this is on life support. Very disappointing.

I think it makes sense to move away from the CF-Topic. With the current executive management and its strategy, I don't think we will ever see another CFW. There are actually other brands who are performing successfully on this subject - as core of their beliefs.
Let's be honest: It just would not match IWC as it stands today: There is nothing to win for the brand, and there are so many variants and different models of IWC out there, so everybody should find the perfect one for her or him. Go and by the watch you really like instead of asking for something that will not happen any time soon.
You come from nothing, you go back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing!

I do buy the watches I really want. But a CF3 would be in addition to what I will buy. And remember, it was Herr Kern who opened up this issue in answering Argiris' question in the affirmative. He could have just said "no".

Do you have information to support your "thoughts" ? If so please delineate them here.
I do not have direct information but have spoken on a handful of ocassions in the last year to two people directly involved in following up with the CF3 initiative / project - both linked to IWC of course. If you read closely our moderators writings here we can clearly understand that it is a complex process - but one that is worth pursuing. Persistence and perseverance are good qualities - lets see what the future will hold and also add optimism as another quality.

Learn; move on.
CF = Collectors Forum - in other words a "special" IWC for us forumers here :-)
Skule
But not very surprising.

I second that.
No way I give up on this. Merely disappointed so far.
