Hello, Can someone tell me anything about this watch. It was brought in 1997 by my grandfather but i think it might be much older, but actually I have no Idea.

Hi guys, It definitely a 7400 but may be even older, about 1974 judging by the partial serial number. It should be 18ct white gold set with 36 brilliant cut diamonds and a sapphire crystal. The movement could be a calibre 185 or 1851.These are ultra-slim hand wound movements which were based on the Jaeger 838. The extra"1" in 1851 indicates a slightly different bridge layout. Leo

First of all, thank you very much.
I have allmoust given up finding it, because i could not find any information in the internet. Even here in this great forum it took some days. What i the Jaeger 838? What do you think this watch might be worth. Anything more than the material. Thanks you anyway for your Help.

Welcome to the Forum.
Your watch appears to be an IWC Reference 7400 as seen in this image from the 1979 catalogue as shown in the vintage catalog project
If correct the watch is from the 1970's not the 1990's.
Hope this helps.
Cheers from the cellar
