Hi David, well done. I always like your narrative style of your posts and the beautiful scenery photos you present on the forum. Guess, it will be a VC AT. Looking forward to meet you on Thursday evening, 24th.

David congratulations on this milestone post. I reiterate that it is always a pleasure to read your post & thanks for making this one a brain teaser :-) My guess one of the Ingenieurs....could be the AMG !
Gentlemen - thank you all for the very kind words. At the risk of repeating myself, the atmosphere that exists in this forum is, in my experience, unique. Michael and the IWC staff have done an excellent job.
It didn't take long for someone to correctly guess what I have on the way. In fact, I now believe that Andrew has superpowers. WatchMan. Monsieur de l'Horlogerie (you now know why superheroes don't have French names).
In a single post, Andrew identified my incoming, the watch that may well be my next acquisition, and the watch that (unhappily) had to be sacrificed to obtain the incoming. Very impressive.
Several of you mentioned the 3878 Spitfire. While not correct for the incoming, it is probably now at the top of my wish list (if we disallow unlikely candidates such as the Minute Repeater). Thanks to Paul's extremely enthusiastic posts, I would consider the bracelet though I'm usually more of a leather guy.
Several others mentioned the VC AT. That was my first IWC and is the watch that, unfortunately, left the nest a couple of days ago to help fund the incoming. There are likely some very big changes coming for us this year which made me reluctant to add a watch right now without moving something else.
I think it was only Andrew who also mentioned the beauty that will soon be on it's way to me: the Yacht Club Chrono. You have all seen this watch before. I don't mean the model -- of course, you've all seen that -- but this particular example. Kevin decided to move his Yacht Club and was kind enough to offer it to me. In addition, he is personally delivering it, something I doubt he would have done if I still lived in Ohio. :)
While I liked the VC AT very much, the Yacht Club really speaks to me. I love everything about it: the styling is incredible, the movement is a marvel and it has a display back, which, while not a requirement, is something I value highly. While I'll miss the AT, I know I'm going to really enjoy the YC.
So in just over 2 weeks, I will ambush Kevin at the airport to claim my prize. (Just kidding Kevin, I'll be camped in the lobby of your hotel.) While I'm anxious to get the watch on my wrist, the sense of anticipation is quite sublime. Wrist shots around the 23rd.

andy stevens Wrote:Greetings David,
As many already have expressed, your contributions, sensational pic's and narrative wit have raised the "quality bar" of the Forum. I know I personally appreciate your insight on many subject matters and the ability to hone in on minute details that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Your couple week tease will be torture, but in this case "I'm into pain" !
As far as the hints go, I'll rule out the VC-AT that was suggested since we both went through that "not so patiently waiting" game for what seemed like eternity. Thankfully we were finally rewarded with our deposit ordered AT's.
So I'll reserve guessing at this piont until more hints are revealed. Whatever it is, I know it will be stunning and probably a Black dial since I know you favor those.
More pain please....
Andy
OK David....with your new hint/information, I'm going to take a wild guess. Did you finely track down a LE "Boris Becker" green Portuguese Chrono or could it be the beautiful and stunning black dial YC ?
@ Kevin....when you're finished at SIHH , would you be so kind to deliver your new blue PPC. I'll meet you at LAX customs.
Congratulations David and nice gesture Kevin keeping the YC in the Forum Family.

David, nicely done. I am sure you will wear it proudly at SIHH. It's a stunning dial and design. Congratulations. Wear it in good health. Have fun at SIHH. I will miss not being there.
Congratulations, and thanks for being you. You've added immeasurably to this forum.
