Today marks the fourth year anniversary of the day I first posted on this great forum. As I've done on each Jan. 7th, I look back over the past year and continue to "share the passion" with the remarkable men and women who particpate here. Just a few highlights:
I had another opportunity to meet forum friends with whom I corresponded, but never met face-to-face. Over a year ago I was invited to Kavala, Greece for a very special occasion. Dorothy and I had the pleasure of celebrating the Christening of Argiris' and Natassa's daughter, Melina! We spent a wonderful time with some old and new friends! Los Quatro Companeros Me, Argiris, Roberto and Dimitris Dorothy, Cristina and Maro Natassa, Dorothy and me Another treat was an opportunity to meet again with our friend Dick L. (whichwatch) and enjoy some Texas "Q"...and of course IWC watches! We also had a Texas visit from a new forum member from DownUnder...Ben D. (Bendy)
It has often been said here about how our GTG and opportunities to meet make this a special place...and I can only repeat that the friendships forged here made this another wonderful year.
I did not expand my collection (a bit overstated when you're talking about four watches), but I did receive a special IWC-related gift from one of our eminent photographers, Bill B. Many of you know that I spent several years doing archeological work in the Americas. Bill and Mary traveled to Cuzco, Peru and Machu Picchu for a photography holiday. Bill took some magazine-spread worthy photos of the trip (one of my favorite archeological zones) and fashioned them into a 2013 calendar. It is now displayed proudly on my wall and provides me with a timeless 'recuerdo' of this region.
Thanks again to each of you for all that you bring to this forum...and a special thanks to MF (and our IWC sponsors) who keeps us focused, informed and involved by making it all happen!!!
Best regards, Jim

Jim, Happy anniversary and thank you for your many contributions the the forum. You certainly help make this a great place to meet and talk about IWC watches as well as make new friends around the globe.
Congratulations Jim. Even without a new watch, you had a very good IWC year. I've really enjoyed the photos from the Austin gtg of a few months ago but thanks for not reposting the watch in the sauce shot -- just too painful to look at. :)
