I agree. Too tough to call. Personally I think the khaki color is completely limited to casual wear. The black you can get away with anything - casual to formal.

01 for me. It's closer to the spirit of pilots watches and black can be worn anywhere or anytime. I particularly like the red aeroplane on the tail of the second hand of 01 and being a perfectionist, the white on black date indicator in the khaki dial of the 02 would drive me mad constantly asking 'Why not finish the job?'
Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.....Confucius
I am debating between 5019-01 and 5019-02. can anyone share your preference.
Thanks!!!
JH.

The -01 is 'safer' with it's traditional color scheme.
However, the -02 is uniquely different with the Khaki dial color and shinier ceramic case!!!
Cheers,
Nad
if it were me i'd go for the '02', and would look into additional strap versions for added versatility (coloured buffalo leather?)
good luck and keep us posted with your decision.

Indeed a very tough choice!!I had a huge debate (right mind vs. the left mind) haha.
In conclusion; I have 3 black watches, so 02 won this debate. Already make arrangements, will be picking it up tomorrow.
Thanks NAD, your pictures were really helpful!
congrats, great acquisition... looking forward to some wrist shots!
enjoy,
