I have wanted this watch for so long that it almost seems unreal to have it. The moment I got the box, it was hard to contain my excitement.
Opening the box is possibly one of the greatest pleasures in life not involving another person.
Getting it on the wrist for the first time gives you tingles.
It now joins it's older sibling, my Mark XV.
I apologize for my pictures not matching the quality of others I have seen on this forum, my first attempts at watch photography.
My first impression of the watch on my wrist is that is feels surprisingly light and unobtrusive. I was thinking I might notice the weight a little more, but I did not. Perhaps it is because my everyday banger is a Casio G-Shock, which is relatively chunky, although not heavy.
Regardless, I am happy to have a new addition to my little watch family.

You are right that the collecting bug bites quickly.
I posted here earlier about trying to find a vintage Cal 88, and I will continue that search. However, I have also recently seen the Ref 5454, and find it to be a fine modern interpretation of that style so I may look at that soon.
I am also lacking a chronograph in my collection. Anyone have any favorites? I am currently partial to the Doppelchronograph.
Another watch I have long had my eye on is the Portuguese Minute Repeater.
And, unfortunately, thanks to this forum, I am now aware of the Siderale. Better start putting aside a few pennies.
