I saw this version of the watch on Facebook, apparently published by IWC. With its ardoise dial it looks very beautiful indeed. As it is not in the catalogue section, is it a special version?

The answer, as far as I know, is NO. It is simply a drawing of the black dial version and the illustrator made it too reflective. I have a print out of all planned 2013 special editions, and it's not in there. Also, any CF3 at least has to have an in-house movement per people at IWC.

Reflective?....Too bad, because a Ardoise dial would be awesome as a variation. I would be more than to happy making one my first acquisition for 2013.

Yes, I've been in the wilderness for a while...
BTW the CFI that I have is a favorite of mine still, but only wear it during the warm months due to its thickness.
