This is a report from what my AD told me about his visit to SIHH. My AD, mister Haesevoets from Waregem, Belgium is a great guy, he took plenty of time this saturday to give me his opinion about SIHH and IWC, and the new Ingenieurs.
First you have to know that the former Ingenieur collection was a slow seller here in Belgium, not only at my AD, but with every AD. Best sellers here in Belgium are the Portofino and Portuguese collection with the Pilot line.
Mr; Haesevoets returned very happy from the SIHH. He liked the new collection and he believes in the commercial succes that the new models will have. He also mentioned that the case design was slightly altered on the level of the lugs, or the inclination that they make. The watches "fall" very well on the wrists. Further he was rather enthousisast about the Silberpfeil too. He loved the dial too, like he did with the strap. Apparently it is a special design with rubber on the inside and leather at the outside. He told me the price and I believe it is a very good price for such a special watch. The carbon one was reserved for the boutiques. The ceramic duo, black/brown were very nice too, he said. The brown one is special and great in accordance with the strap. I believe one of his favourites was the Inge dual time. The colour of the dial is unique and very in vogue. The 40mm will do well as ladies watches too he thinks. The IWC booth was by far the most spectacular and busy. During dinner, he was sitting in front of the entrance and it was funny to see that each time a celeb/model entered IWC, a massive movement of press followed instantly. Yes, our Georges knows how to play the press to get attention for his watches. ( said with respect, Mr. Kern ).
Mr. Haesevoets also expressed his admiration for Kurt Klaus. A man that got no rest for even one minute. He was occupied the whole time, stayed smiling the whole time too. My respect too.
Sadly my AD couldn't stay for the party, but I filled him in from what I have read/seen on the forum. So he was happy with the new line of Ingenieurs. He didn't ordered the Constant Force Tourbillion allthough he liked it very much. The way the crystal is shaped into the case is rather special and nice. He had also good news for me as I asked him to track down a limited edition for me that I feared was sold out, but he managed to find one for me with the help from his IWC rep. Hope it arrives soon.

Thanks for the report, Tonny. Very informative. Looking forward to your surprise. Just let me know how many of the Dutch guys can come over to welcome your new treasure. ;-) Peter
