Gentlemen, friends, forummers...
I have been to Geneva a lot of times, on weddings, birthdays, parties, shopping and sightseeing. All very special occasions. One was missing: SIHH! I would not have dreamt that I ever could be one of the lucky few who are chosen by IWC to join this very special event. I could not believe the news when I got them and have been very excited to say the least until I could go. And what a great time it was! For all of those who had the chance to be there on IWC`s invitation yet, there was a first time for everyone, even if they are routiniers now. You may know how hard it is to describe: the hospitality, camaraderie and generosity of the people you meet. All of different countries, cultures and background, united by the interest in watches and IWC. I can only say a big THANK YOU to everyone I met, especially Michael and Oliver but all others as well. I have learnt a lot, had excellent company, great discussions and I hope to see you all again, be it in Schaffhausen or elsewhere, I enjoyed it immensely. I am a lousy photographer but I took a camera of course and here are the results:
Hurry, man, hurry...Spitfire keeps the time, Ing. ME on the other wrist but not a good picture:
No, not watches first when you enter the "booth":
Some technical briefing:
and some details:
Gentlemen galore:
An overview of what was and what will come:
F.A.Jones: The Book
The "black22"
A "dream" on display:
It`s time, gentlemen, to start the engines...no details, just pictures as all is said and written yet about the new Ingenieur collection:
Constant force tourbillon, the moon discs are three-dimensional:
Another beauty:
AMG Ceramic:
My favourite, an amazing piece of modern Art:
Silberpfeil:
Some history to keep the roots in mind...
A Pallweber rarely seen:
And some unfinished movements of the museum corner:
Thanks for "watching", have a great week everyone!!!

Michael
I was wrong about the carbon Inge and it does look very special in the flesh.
It was great meeting you!
Cheers,
