Yes, I saw it on Facebook, shown by a well known AD. I think it is a disgrace that a renowned brand like Tag Heuer has to get that close to another brands icon model.
Kind regards, Paul

They (Heuer) have been useing that case style (or one very very similar) for a good few decades, think they also used an anthracite coloured dial pre the date Schaffhausen ever offered one in thier catalogues (first time round). For a watch that is meant to register...the dial colour is a triumph in forme over function.

I think what you write may be misleading. The numerals, pushers, and 12/6 chrono layout all transcend a case or anthracite dial. I'll leave it to the lawyers applying Swiss law, but in my opinion this is unabashed copying of a "look and feel".
oh yes, this current one looks much too close to an IWC than their previous Carrera 1887's did. Myself and another fellow forum member were comparing our pre-IWC watch purchases, he had a white dial blue version of that Tag (I believe) and I had a Hamilton JazzMaster Maestro, but I think this looks much more like a copy.

Just the other day I was at a TAG Heuer boutique and was inquiring about this piece as it was the only few models with what they claimed to be a so-called 1887 in-house movement. The casing was a lot thicker and feels a bit chunky, doesn't quite goes with the diameter of the watch.
However, I've tried the chronograph function and I must admit it is one of smoothest I've tried, also I think caliber 1887 uses column wheel. I'd stay away from the Arabic numerals (its a LE as shown here) but at least the regular version which uses baton style index looks less like a copy.
upon closer inspection, it looks like the only difference in layout between this "inhouse" seiko derived movement and the 7750 is the date window is at 6, other than that, why not just use the ETA 7750 as a base?
@Vincent, it's really remarkable how thin the IWC 3714 is, and how incredible it is that it's based off the 7750, yet is much thinner than other watches that also use the 7750.

Portuguese Chrono...and that "100% in-house movement"...platform from Seiko...balance pivot from Atokalpa or...SEIKO....22 subconstractors! It's not in-house it's industrial movement...or when we would say in-house, ok but from Seiko! For me Tag Heuer doesn't exist from many years
Shame, shame.
