Charge69,
Was in contact with my AD the other day and we were talking "Pilots". I was curious as to how the the 3777 was doing compared to the retired 3717. He said Pilot Chrono's have always been a leader in sales and he has no problem selling all that he gets. He did say however that in the last couple of months, he has had numerous requests for the 3717.
Should you find a NIB 3717, go for it. Depending on where you are located, you still may be able to find one. If you post your e-mail address, perhaps a fellow Forumer might be able to help direct you to one.
Best of luck on the hunt, the 3717 is a awesome watch.

I just battled back and forth between a 3717 and 3777 and ended up with the 3777. It's not an easy decision, I can tell you that.
Definitely try both on, and do it side by side if you can. The 3717 is tough to track down from an AD - I had one shipped from another store to the dealer near me, and while I was there he had multiple inquiries about the 3717 he was holding for me.
I don't think you can go wrong with either - just buy the one that fits you best and you'll be a happy person.
But I don't see the 3717 as part of the collection on this website.
Is the 3717 being discontinued?
Regards
Dave
