Great post Todd. Nice photos too. And a great watch. I wish all forummers celebrating the new year a wonderful preparation time (watch shopping?) and start of the new year!
Best wishes to all celebrating the upcoming year of the snake! And, Todd , I love your photos: we can use more of Viet Nam with an IWC around, for sure.
When I prepared for going to Viet Nam many years ago, courtesy of the US government, I wore a Timex but the hands fell off. Neither I nor my watch made it there.
I thought I'd show a few photos of how Vietnam is gearing up for Tet festivities.
Just behind my house is a strip of cultivated land used to grow kumquat trees. There are rows and rows of them.
These trees are in just about every home and business. In addition there are the most beautiful flowers everywhere.
A shot with nature in focus.
And only 15 minutes from my home is my favorite place to shop.
To all those who celebrate the Lunar New Year, enjoy the festivities. And to everyone, I hope you have a prosperous and healthy year of the snake.
Regards,
Todd

This is also my family custom to decorate the home with beautiful flowers before Lunar New Year. Need to go shopping soon......
Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate this festival....

Hi David,
Apologies for not replying earlier. I'd been away for a while in Thailand.
Indeed it is a thatched roof. Hanoi has a wonderful mix of of old and new.
Regards,
Todd
