What great start to the year of ingenieur for 2013. With so many new and exciting choices ahead, not forgetting all the discussion and photos to admire.
I was thinking, lets not forget the Portuguese range of selection and I decided to set out to my AD to look for a companion for my regulateur.
Before that, I try on some novelties for 2012...

It was really nice to try both of the novelties but decided not to forget the reason of my visit.
Which one should I choose and maybe you could share your thought with me?

Which one should I take?
I feel that the 500109 really looks great and it catches your attention. As for the 500114, it has a classic look but unfortunately it has the same color dial as my regulateur.

Given that your Regulateur is white dial, of the two I would be tempted to choose black. Whichever one you pick, consider adding a Santoni strap. They look wonderful on the 5001's. I like the light brown on my white dial but might go with the darker brown on black dial.

First, Fleekk, congratulations-Your Regulateur looks great. That hours disk is just perfect. Your choice depends on how you want to look your IWC collection. If You would like to buy another Portuguese, You could buy 500114, but if You would like to buy watches from another collections I think that better choice will be 500109. Of course 500109 looks great too, but I think that it's less elegant than 500114. So it's perfect to casual close. This is of course just my personal opinion. Great choose is taking watch with 50000 family movement, for me size of this movement is just insane. Let us know which one You'll choose! P.s. BP PPC looks like the best of best Batmans watches :)

That is a great combination and I will definitely try on your suggestion before I make the purchase.
Does the santoni strap work on the deployment buckle?

I will try not to get the same color dial to add to my collection and you are very right about the caliber 5000, it is definitely a must have. It seems like the 500114 is a favorite here for many.

I agree with Dick on all fronts. Not surprising since I have the 500109 on a brown Santoni. To answer your question, Santoni straps are made for deployants and for tang buckles. Just make sure your AD orders the right one for you. Best of luck with your decision.

I bet it does! Although the size is slightly smaller than the regulateur but once you wear it on, it just looks marvelous.
May I know what is the color hands for the extreme left piece of the triplets? 5001xx?
