David, as you know, is curator of the IWC Museum and a great guy. He's also a true friend of collectors and this forum, and a staunch supporter of the importance of IWC's history. Many of you have met him in Schaffhausen or at SIHH.
I'm pleased to report that David just defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Stuttgart, and passed with flying colors. The thesis now will be published, and soon we will be able to call him, as he says, "Doc"!
Congratulations to Doctor Seyffer --very well deserved!

The think is about the history of IWC! It traces the history in the context of the industrialization of Switzerland, and therefore looks at watch developments in a broad socio-economic setting.

That's really great! I hope they print enough examples, maybe we could get a list of people who would like one and place an order?
Congratulations Dr. Seyffer! Completing and defending a dissertation requires not just hard work and inspiration but a good bit of patience also. Well done.
