Glad to have stimulated people. I guess I'm interested in it from an "influence" point of view...I agree with most of the commments that IWC products in themselves need no advertising or association. I also own a Breitling, and when David Beckham was unveiled as the new "face" it got me thinking about the element of association. James Bond wears an Omega (not in the books). Do people think that buying one makes them a bit more like James Bond? Presumably it works the other way as well and some may have changed their watch on the basis of the men who are used to promote them.
