I thought of the 390212 as well ( yacht club chrono volvo ocean race edition) but I'm not sure what the devil or tha fashion brand that the devil wears has got to do with it.
So then I thought: Cliff's right: it is a Prada GST chrono because of the devil and the dual branding. But where's the sailing.
arghhh. tell us what it is otherwise I won't sleep tonight!

I believe it was too easy for some experts.
Congratulations Tonny! Nice watch. The 3335 post clarified the link with sailing! Too easy for some but not for me. ;-)

Prada was heavily involved with America's Cup sailing during the era (and may still be). That was the connection IWC was looking for at the time.
But for most people, Prada only meant expensive women's shoes. I certainly didn't want to explain to others why I wore a 'Prada' watch, had I bought one.
Hence, it took a long time to sell those 2000 watches. It also had a stiff price premium over the std. 3707 which didn't help.
But ten years on, the watch looks pretty good! Nice find, wear it in good health.
