Dear Forum colleagues,
Ahead of SIHH 2013 product arriving in the windows of our AD's, I would like to acquire a BP 5002 low beat. What a fab few days in Geneva that was and best wishes to all I met. Too many to mention.....
Whilst i have researched on the Forum, are all BP5002 low beat or not ?

It is my understanding that the first production of the 5002 in 2002 was a slow-beat, 2.5 Hz, movement. Later, the 5002 was changed to a transitional beat of 3 Hz, or 6 beat per second vs. the original 5 beats.
Here is a time lapse photo of my slow beat 5002 with 5 beats per second.
Full dial,
I am sure, if I am not accurate, others will correct my thread.

All 5002s are not slow-beat as there are a few hundred from my understanding that were transitional. Although you say you've researched the forum, check under 'transitional' and you'll see countless old posts about the quantity, identification, merit, etc.

Here's my Transitional 5002. As others have said, it has the same dial as the 5002 but the high beat movement of the 5004. I also have a letter from IWC confirming it is the high beat movement.
