This evening I had the pleasure to have a mini GTG with a fellow forum member, let's call him for the time being Mr. V. So I dressed up properly this morning selecting with care the right watch, as described in this post.
After a working day full of boring business meetings I was finally happy to drive approx 160km from Düsseldorf to this place here to have a pleasant meeting with Mr. V (forgot to take the picture at the start, so took it on the way)
When it is about meeting a forum member you are literally counting the seconds until you meet the guy, so you drive fast
and faster
and faster
Only if road conditions and speed limits permit it - which today fortunately was the case.
Arrived at the place we were supposed to meet ... poor Mr. V, not being used to our temperatures here was about to become an ice block ... But he still had enough power for a warm greeting ... so off to warm up with a
Now, I had chosen to wear my VC Inge knowing that Mr. V is a big fan and has a great collection of VC Inges. But no, today he came with this beautiful timepiece
So, instead of an Inge GTG, we had a Portuguese-Inge GTG
And here he is, Mr. V
our pilot friend who enjoys us so often with his beautiful V-shots, taken up there in the sky. Btw, the guy on the right behind his shoulder is not a prisoner. We ended up in a small pub, where the guests were still celebrating carnival:-)
And here a picture of two happy guys ... Happy because they have two beers in front of them ... Happy because they both have an IWC on their wrist ... But REALLY HAPPY because they met another IWC passionate, and again it was great watch talks, and great cameraderie.
Vishal, thanks so much for the evening, it was great meeting you. Hope to meet soon again.
Btw, we also had food. But after all that wonderful plate pictures Nad posts, I was afraid of posting a picture of a simple ham & mushrooms pizza:-)

211 kph and taking photos whilst driving. Not impressed one bit. Congratulations on breaking several UK driving laws which no doubt are common to other countries. Driving without due care and attention, use of hand held phones dictating and other recording devices whilst driving. When do you take your driving test? You'd fail in the UK.
Nice to see you guys enjoying a mini gtg. I nominate Giovanni for "Forumer of the Week" for driving more than 300km roundtrip. I for one am flabbergasted that Vishal wasn't wearing at least one VC Inge. Evenso, the wrist shot looks great.

This from a guy who can't even drive on the right side of the road? :-)
My guess is that if driving 211kph while taking pictures, Giovanni was probably on all sides of the road. But if a "Ho Garden" was waiting, well..... maybe understandable.

I will be in Amsterdam in early April. We are setting up a GTG as well. I can't wait to see some very good friends there.

Chalk one up for the record book. I think you blew away the Nad shot record.
