Well done, Giovanni and Visual, great to see your GTG pictures!
I agree with David, we should nominate Giovanni "Forummer of the Week" for driving over 300kms - but I bet Vishal also flew quite a few... LOL!

The UK Greg Wrote:211 kph and taking photos whilst driving. Not impressed one bit. Congratulations on breaking several UK driving laws which no doubt are common to other countries. Driving without due care and attention, use of hand held phones dictating and other recording devices whilst driving. When do you take your driving test? You'd fail in the UK.
Greg, there is nothing impressive about driving fast on a straight three lane free highway. This place is about great watches and the cameraderie among people who share the same passion. What I wanted to express with the dashboard pictures is the excitement and impatience which I feel when I am about to meet one of the forum members. As for the driving without due care: With the help of an iphone steering wheel mount and Siri, the only distraction I had was talking to Siri.

Google Ursula and Sabina Eriksson who you will find both on Wikipedia and You Tube. Be prepared for the unexpected and the unbelievable whilst driving even on a motorway. After you have watched the You tube clips feel free to joke at my experience of having someone step out in front of me whilst driving in London, their head smashed the wiper blade and wiper arm and smashed the windscreen. My speed was less than 30 mph. This is a forum for IWC watches and these driving photos are an accident waiting to happen. The more copycat efforts we have the sooner it will happen.

What a truly great post illustrating the unique nature of the forum friendships. Vishal - you must feel naked without a VC Ingenieur - on your wrist. Thank goodness Giovanni brought one with him to cover you up.

Thanks Giovanni for the post of our GTG. Let me tell you I was equally looking forward to meeting you ! Even after the long almost eleven hour flight to Brussels the fatigue which normally takes me over was absent, cause the excitement of meeting a fellow collector as you know over shadows everything else. And there I was at Liege Guillemins train station almost freezing waiting for you... I really appreciate the effort you put in driving all the way after a busy day at work. The Hoegaarden never tasted better....

Thang ! I have no plans of acquiring the platinum version as of yet as there are other priorities on my wish list :-)

Ya Andrew it was a tough decision to be separated from my VC Ing, but I thought since I am always sporting one of them it would be a surprise for Giovanni to see a portuguese on my wrist. In fact it was a pleasure and a surprise for me to see a VC Ing on his wrist!

Great fun these GTG, Vishal, you should have mailed me. Is it because I have no VC Inge ? Well, just received a mail from my AD that he managed to get me something blue...
Best regards,

Jim
