I am in Manhattan Beach near LA for a few days and could not resist a few shots in the bright sunshine of my favorite watch. I can't stop staring at this thing. It is everything I expected it to be...and more! A special shout out to Kevin, the best enabler anywhere. I needed the push to make up my mind. Much appreciated.
Manhattan Beach - immortalized in 1963 in the Beach Boys' Surfin' USA and now in Alan's BPPC photos. :) That watch looks better every time I see it. Enjoy the sunshine.

Aloha Alan -
I still can't believe that you pulled the trigger on that WG beauty!
I'm still wearing the entry-level version that you and SC helped me to pick up from Bucherer a couple of years ago.
It's a nice slow day here in Honolulu - I just finished checking out the annual charity sale put on by the local chapter of former Pan Am and United flight attendants and I found a couple of interesting props that I can use in some photos later.

@ Kevin. It's the only watch to wear for this wedding. @Tracy...how can you call that piece an entry level version? No way. It is after all a great combination of perpetual and Pilot and has what I think is the perfectly balanced dial. I am sure many would prefer it over a blue dial. I am still keeping mine as well.

I just recently was thinking the same thing. Driving around in my car, I checked my watch to get the time and thought the sight of the sun shining on it highlighted how beautiful it was. Not a blue face, but the hands and numbers are there.

Safe travels, which watch are you wearing to the event?
Kevin
