I keep hunting for the right Cal 88. Found one and got the numbers for the movement and case off it. Running it through the applet, the movement is dated roughly 1946 and the case is about 1950. My question is how often were the movements and cases manufactured that many years apart? Or, are these salvaged from two separate watches?

Much obliged. The piece is in LA and I think I have a trip down there in the near future so will get a chance to see it in person.
