In all honesty, it only needs a reducing gear for the hour hand to creep round at half speed, does anyone know if there was a wrist watch in the same pattern produced by anyone? Interesting piece and there was me thinking it was a photoshop model having never been to Spa Town!

While a 24 hr dial is unique and interesting, I cannot imagine glancing at the time at noon and reading what appears to be 6 o'clock. Maybe that is part of the magic...retraining your brain.

There have been a number of wrist watches produced over the years with a 24 hour dial, the breitling top time comes to mind.
Cheers, Ben

It does take some time getting used to indeed. I have a 24-hour dial watch and don't wear it often enough to really get used to it but I guess that after a few days it won't be too difficult anymore.
Kind regards,
Clemens
PS: isn't the word "Magique" used for the case design instead of for the 24-hour dial?

Well, Alan, we know that nobody here actually buys a watch to read the time :-) I think this 24h dial is very collectible and special, as much as any other complication that is actually useless today (tourbillon, minute repeater, perpetual calendar or even a simple chrono).
