People from Schaffhausen know not only how make watches but how care about that! Only one SPA for Your IWC-Schaffhausen. And Bill congrats-amazing watch!

Bill, this is an absolutely beautiful piece.
I love the yellow gold and silver dial - I think it has an elegance and balance that is stunning.
Whilst I have not strongly considered the Portuguese line, this thread and this one from Norbet make me want to add a Portuguese yellow gold PPC to my grail list.
Oh, and you have definitely convinced me to send my "beater" (St Ex UTC) in for a spa treatment and fresh band later this year - just got to work out the logistics from Australia.

The logistics from Australia is pretty easy, from Melbourne is a little tougher though. In Sydney, it is simply a matter of dropping them off at Richemont in the CBD, they do some servicing in house and they worry about getting your watch back to Schaffhausen for everything else. In Melbourne, I am not sure what the process is - maybe you can drop it off at a local AD who will get it to Richemont or you need to ship it to Richemont direct - probably best to give Richemont a call and see what they recommend - maybe one of the other Victorian's here can comment - Shane or anyone else?
Cheers,
Ben

Looks fantastic. However the 6 month time period scares me.
Out of interest i wonder could someone from HQ provide a timeline of why so long ? Does the AD provide a replacement of sorts to cover for the lengthy separation if the client so desires ?
I do appreciate you have a number of duplicates to cover though, but if I was parted from my 5001 07 for so long I would start to pine.

Bill ! this one tops my wish list. I have been trying to push it to some corner of my mind as I have to wait to acquire it ! These fantastic shots of your watch have "unfortunately" revived my interest in it all over again :-).

What a beauty !! Excellent work by Schaffhausen.

It's a marvelous IWC and a keeper in any collection. I can't imagine anyone trading up except for a minute repeater or a Siderale. LOL.
