I put both numbers through 'Date Your IWC', the outcome was ; 1890 59,801-60,400 Lép. c. 55 - 18lig. Schaffhausen Das Gehäuse wurde wahrscheinlich um 1888 produziert bzw. ausgeliefert.
So originally it was a lépine...but offered as a Savonette????
So not Cal 29, and the case numeber fits approx. I do have my doubts though as to whether the case is 14K. The word WARRANDET is new to me. I sent a mail last night to David Seyffer, maybe he can tell us more!

Is that what you think I am doing? Don't you think that it is you who is actually calling attention to the auction, which btw had ended, with your post?

Are you sure it is a W at the beginning? Or is it a symbol? Could it be a last name? Both Arrandet and warrandet are last names. Or is that unlikely? It would be interesting if it is an error, like Ralph writes. Thanks for sharing, Peter

No, but I generally hate it, that auction descriptions are sometimes generated out of "help me with this watch"-threads, in this forum.
There is no time in the now it's time for a watch.
